Another victim, 28-year-old Saw Hla Min from Pohbba Thiri Township in Nay Pyi Taw, was injured by bullet wounds to his left forearm and leg. He was sent to Three Pagodas Pass Hospital for treatment.

“Both of the victims had just arrived to Three Pagodas Pass a few days before. I heard that [the shooting] was caused by a money dispute,” said the TPP resident.

According to Saw Hla Min, the rubber plantation shooting was committed by Hla Aung from TPP’s No. 1 Quarter.

Police found a 9 millimeter bullet shell at the site of the dispute, according to the TPP resident.

The alleged perpetrator, Hla Aung, currently faces charges under Article 302 (Pa 5/2016), according to an officer from the TPP Police Station.
