Tala Mon Co., Ltd Plans for New Share/New Stockholders

-

Nai Marm – The Tala Mon Limited Company has received government approval to expand its company portfolio, allowing it to attract new shareholders for a variety of new projects proposed, and currently in the works.

“Tala Mon will be re-founded in order to have more stockholders and will be re-named as Mon Regional Development Tala Mon Company,” said Chairman Nai Thein Kyaw.

The company held a meeting with the board of directors and shareholders on May 18, at its Tala Mon Restaurant in Belin to discuss the new approved expansion.

“We will extend our work after establishing more shareholders. We won’t extend our bus operations, but first start with opening the Tala Mon Gas Station. The first gas station will be opened at this restaurant. Then, we will have a meeting with our board members and directors to form a committee for all new shares and investors. We have set shares at 100,000 Kyat,” Nai Thein Kyaw, chairman of the company, said during the May 3meeting.

Nai Thein Han, a member of the board of directors, said everyone has agreed to the new share prices and happy about the new opportunities that lie ahead.

“It is lucky for us to be able to invest in the (new) shares and meet with them. We can only invest 200,000-300,000 kyat.” Other investors like, Nai Thein Kyaw, Nai Khin Maung and Nai Maung Toe, who are richer, can make up the difference needed to open the gas stations, according to Nai Thein Han.

It will cost about 200M Kyat to complete the Rehmarn Gas Station that is located outside the entrance to Hlar village, according to Nai Tala Nye, a New Mon State Party (NMSP) executive committee representative.

The cost alone to prepare the land for the gas station is estimated at 50M Kyat.

As arrangements for the land purchase are still being worked out by the Tala Mon; now known as the Mon Regional Development Tala Mon Company, the shares available have not yet been made public.

The construction of the Thanbyuzayat Market in Thanbyuzayat town and a shop that sells ethnic handicrafts/clothing at Death Railway in Thanbyuzayat has been proposed, and now awaiting approval from the state government.
