“I would like to know the list of voters but the (Election) Commission said they can give it only after making a check,” said NLD Candidate Daw Khin Htay Kywe.

She said tomorrow is the deadline for checking of the number of voters and the date of releasing the list of voters has not been confirmed yet.

In the Moulmein constituency of Mon State, there are 48 polling stations for a vacated seat for the candidate of PyithuHluttaw (People’s Parliament) and there are over one hundred thousand voters, according to Daw Khin Htay Kywe.

However, the lists have been released since February 29 in other states and divisions.

The candidates from the National League for Democracy (NLD), All Mon Regions Democracy Party (AMDP), the National Unity Party (UNP) and the Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) will contest the by-election in the (Moulamein) constituency for a seat of PyithuHluttaw (People’s Parliament).

This vacated constituency is the one where U Aye Myint (USDP), now the Minister of Science and Technology, won his seat in the 2010 general elections. In the whole of Burma, there were 48 vacated seats for the by-election and 17 political parties will contest for those seats.
