USDP interferences in the election throughout Mon state

IMNA : Voters in Mon state are worried that the United Solidarity and Development Party (USDP), the military junta’s proxy party, will win the elections due to voter tampering during election day.

Villagers in Mudon Township and Chaung zone Township are carrying on unfair so the All Mon Regions Democracy Party (AMDP) objected and remains’ Township is also like that, said the residents from many areas.

Villgers in Yaung Korn village and Kawkalay village in Mudon Township, reported being pressured by the USDP to vote USDP during the election.Reports from one AMDP member surveying the polling booths in these villagers, further describe USDP members entering into the booth and filling out the voting ballot in their favor for the voters.

“Around seven a.m., the USDP began interfering and we [AMDP] objected,” said the AMDP member.
Mudoon village in Chaung Zone Townsip, Constituency No. 1, also reported polling booth commission officers filling out votes for the USDP in place of the residents.

Thanphyuzayart Township’s polling booth commissioners are reported not signing ballots (therefore invalidating them) for those voters wearing Mon traditional dress, for fear that these voters would vote for the AMDP.

AMDP members, in Ye and Kyaikyaw Township, report that the polling booth commission did not allow AMDP members to wear Mon traditional dress, but the USDP members were allowed to wear their uniform during election day wore USDP uniform Ye Township and Kyaikmayaw Township, the polling booth not allow AMDP to wear Mon dress, but they allow the USDP to wear their full dress today election said the members from Ye Township.
